Well the LPGA Duramed Futures Tour / International at Concord event is now final. Congratulations to Jenny Shin who held on to win with a final score of 11 under par. But this post is not about Jenny, it is about Rising Star Lucy Nunn.
Lucy played steady today shooting even par. 1 birdie and 3 bogeys on the front, 3 birdies, 1 bogey on the back. Funny how it happens that way. Starting off with a birdie on the first hole, she gave it right back at #2. Then with a pair of bogey’s on 4 and 7 and it was looking like she might be in for a rough day.
But Lucy composed herself with 4 pars in a row then fired back at the course with birdies on 12 and 13, only to have a slight mishap costing her a shot at 14. Two holes later she makes a birdie at 16 and pars out from there shooting even par for the day and finishing in a tie for 15th place and her best showing of the year so far.
WAY TO GO LUCY. Keep up the good work and play well next week, everyone here will be watching.
